Local news and events happenings in and around the Powder Springs area. The Powder Springs Messenger has been serving our community since 1993 or over 17 years and is locally owned and operated. The Messenger is owned and operated solely by George Narretta, Editor and Cindy Narretta, Publisher. We are in no way funded and or influenced by anyone or any organization be it individual, city, state or any other entity. The editor and publisher make all decisions regarding The Messenger Newspaper and its content! The Messenger is direct mailed through the U. S. Postal Service to the 30127 zip code over 14,000 households and an additional 1,000 businesses in the Powder Springs and Hiram, Georgia area. We currently print and direct mail 17 issues yearly on our current 3 week schedule. We print any and all news we feel will be beneficial to our readers. Such as Powder Springs News, Police Reports, city news, cobb county news, local sports, classified ads, real estate information, local events, school news, human interest stories, City Council Review, political races, area history, wedding and birth announcements, obituraies and much more... The Messenger Newspaper is the only newspaper located in Powder Springs committed to helping our city, area businesses and residents by making them better informed as to what is happening in and around the Powder Springs area.

Attention Schools/Parents/Teachers: The Messenger covers our area high schools, middle schools and elementary schools which include McEachern, Hillgrove, Cooper, Garrett, Lovinggood, Smitha, Tapp, Austell, Clarkdale, Compton, Kemp, Still, Varner, and Vaughhan. If you don't see your school listed and have Powder Springs students attending let us know.
